JOB DESCRIPTION:

Teach middle school students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet student's varying needs and interest. Curriculum includes phonics, reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and social emotional development and all curriculum is delivered in Spanish. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons. Plan lessons for daily instruction that derive from state standards, assessments and dual immersion curriculum. Assist in the development of curriculum for the dual immersion program. Provide educational experiences in the classroom that reflect the philosophy, goals and expectations of the dual immersion program. Conduct instruction effectively and proficiently. Use student-centered instruction to facilitate comprehension in the target language, Spanish. Work effectively with a wide variety of students in a culturally diverse setting. Create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or Higher or Foreign Equivalent in Education, Spanish, or a Related field. Possess or qualify for an Educator License from the Virginia Department of Education. Native or like-native fluency in Spanish language required.
